Which Bishkek District Should You Choose?

Bishkek is divided into 4 administrative districts: Leninsky, Sverdlovsky, Oktyabrsky and Pervomaysky. Beyond these, Alamudun District and suburban settlements are also popular. Each has its own character, infrastructure and price range.

Leninsky District — The Business Heart of Bishkek

Best for: business people, families with children, investors

Leninsky District is the historical and business centre of the city. It is home to the central Osh market, the Government House, major banks, shopping centres and most government institutions.

Advantages:

  • The best restaurants, shops and services
  • A prestigious address
  • High property liquidity

Disadvantages:

The greenest district in Bishkek. Plenty of private houses and low-rise housing. Close to the mountains and nature parks.

  • A car is necessary

Alamudun District — Suburban Space

A suburban district with a large number of plots and private houses. Popular with those who want more space for less money.

Advantages:
