Registration and Legal Matters

Residence Registration

Kyrgyz citizens and TRP holders are required to register their place of residence with the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For rental apartments:

  • Landlord's written consent required
  • Passport
  • Rental agreement

For Foreigners

Obtain a visa or temporary/permanent residence permit (TRP). Check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website for current requirements.

Public Services

Healthcare:

Education:

  • Free state schools - assigned by residence
  • Private and international schools - $100-500/month

Transport:

  • Marshrutka minibuses: 10-15 KGS/trip
  • Taxis (Yandex, InDrive): 100-300 KGS/trip
